We asked the question: Where does it hurt?

BMO VANCOUVER MARATHON Vancouver, British Columbia May 4, 2008

Elizabeth Choi Seattle, Washington
How was the race?

I didn't train: I signed up yesterday. Considering that, it wasn't bad, relatively easy. It's a beautiful course.

Where does it hurt?

My hamstrings. My feet and butt.

David Esterby Cannon Falls, Minnesota
How was the race?

It was awesome, very long and hard.

Where does it hurt?

My calves, I can't feel them. It's just pain from my knees to my ankles.

Ken Myers Calgary, Alberta
How was the race?

Not great. I used to be fairly competitive. I'm at med school, and it's been harder to train.

Where does it hurt?

My calves started spazzing over the last 5km. I threw up at 7km.

Heriberto Rodriguez Mexico (currently resides in Seattle)
How was the race?

It was tough. It was great. Great weather. I'm really happy. I didn't reach my goal, but I'm happy.

Where does it hurt?

Everything right now, but my pride hurts more. I was 1 minute away from qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

Audrey Wagenaar Vancouver, BC
How was the race?

Good. Great. Well organized, very slick.

Where does it hurt?

Everything, especially my legs.

Yator Erick Cheboi Nairobi, Kenya
How was the race?

I liked it. The course was so difficult because of the weather- it was cold. If the weather was better I could run 2 hours 10 minutes.

Where does it hurt?

Nothing hurts.(He placed second in the marathon.)
